This is what you’ll be doing
As a Work Planner, you act as the link between sales, procurement and the workshop. You ensure that work is properly prepared, parts are available on time and the schedule is accurate. This enables our technicians to get to work without delay.
You will work closely with the workshop managers in Ulft and Brandscheid (Germany) and will be given plenty of scope to contribute ideas on improvements to processes and planning. Your duties will include:
- Preparing service and sales orders;
- Planning and monitoring work for the workshops in Ulft and Brandscheid;
- Ensuring that parts are ordered in good time and are available;
- Drawing up work instructions and specifications;
- Preparing cost estimates for work;
- Liaising with sales, procurement and the workshop regarding planning and progress;
- Monitoring delivery times and making adjustments where necessary;
- Handling returns from the workshop;
- Contributing ideas on how to organise processes and the ERP system more efficiently;
- Supporting the internal sales team during busy periods;
- Standing in for the workshop manager in their absence.
In short, you ensure that everything behind the scenes is perfectly organised.
