Coffee with Robert

At Hencon, we enjoy having a cup of coffee together. In “Coffee with…”, we talk to a different colleague each time. This time, it’s Robert Domhof’s turn.

What exactly do you do at Hencon?
‘I am an office manager and I have been working at Hencon since 2009, where I started in sales, then worked in after-sales and then moved on to administration. At one point, I decided to take on the role of office manager because it allows me to work on many different fronts, such as the implementation of our new software package.’

Can you tell us a little more about yourself?
Robert laughs: ‘I am the youngest of nine children. We lived in Harreveld. I am married and have two adult daughters. I think you could describe me as eager to learn. If something interests me, I delve into it until I understand it thoroughly.’

Does that also apply to your job?
‘Absolutely! By learning something new every day, no two days are the same. I really enjoy working with colleagues to identify and solve problems. If I can add value by providing support where it is needed at that moment, then I am satisfied.’

How would you describe Hencon Forestry?
‘As an excellent employer with an outstanding personnel policy. A lot of attention is paid to the staff and we are given the space to be there for family members when necessary.’

How do you see your future at Hencon?
‘I would like to continue working here until I retire. I still enjoy my work and we have a great team of colleagues. There is good contact between us, regardless of your position, everyone belongs.’

Finally: how is the coffee?
‘Delicious: black and as strong as possible!’
