Coffee with Ramon

At Hencon, we enjoy having a cup of coffee together. In “Coffee with…”, we talk to a different colleague each time. This time it’s Ramon Even’s turn.

When did you start at Hencon and what is your position?
‘I have been working at Hencon Forestry since July 2023 and I am a work planner.’

What is your background?
‘You probably wouldn’t expect it, but I come from the healthcare sector. I worked in a nursing home and was training to be a nurse. Although I am a social person, it turned out not to be my thing. That’s why I decided to change course and became a lorry mechanic and then a parts advisor, where I was responsible for ordering the right parts for the workshop.’

How did you end up at Hencon Forestry?
Ramon laughs: ‘It was actually pure coincidence. I updated my LinkedIn profile on Sunday and on Monday I received a message from a recruiter asking if I wanted to have an interview at Hencon. The forestry sector really appealed to me and once I got to know it, I was sold.’

What makes working at Hencon enjoyable for you?
“We work in a great sector. The people are real go-getters: practical and down-to-earth. They work in a variety of weather conditions and have an appreciation for nature. When our customers need us, we are there for them. I love this drive and team spirit!

Finally, how do you like your coffee?
‘I’m a real coffee lover. When I’m at work, I like to drink Wiener Melange, with a little cocoa powder.’
