Coffee with Izmit

At Hencon, we enjoy having a cup of coffee together. In “Coffee with…”, we talk to a different colleague each time. This time it’s Izmit Djeladini’s turn. Izmit joined Hencon a year ago as a service engineer for our German branch in Brandscheid.

Have you been working in the forestry sector for a long time?
Izmit laughs: ‘Yes, I’ve been working in the forestry sector as a service engineer for forestry machines for 32 years. To be honest, I can’t imagine doing anything else. It’s a wonderful profession and I love working outside in the forest.’

How do you like working at Hencon Forestry?
‘Very much! I have a lot of freedom and can plan my own work. Customers usually call me directly when they have a malfunction. I really enjoy customer contact and my work is varied. Most days I work in the forest and one day a week in the workshop.’

Hencon Forestry is a Dutch company. Do you notice that?
‘Hardly. Of course, I work from the German branch in Brandscheid, and contact with colleagues and management in the Netherlands is very pleasant. I don’t have to visit my manager’s office every day and can make my own decisions. I think that’s the difference.’

How do you see your future at Hencon?
‘I wanted to change employers one more time, and I did that last year. Now I’m completely in my element and hope to be able to do this work for a long time to come.’

Finally, how is the coffee?
‘The coffee is good, but at Hencon Forestry in the Netherlands, they have a soup machine. I should ask if we can get one in Brandscheid too.’
